Galatea
Pygmalion's hubris brings him face to face with Aphrodite, whose contempt for his lack of passion spurs him to take on his most challenging work yet.
A short film starring Frederic Boag-Jones, Violet Grace Fink, and Cathy Wippell in a modern re-telling of an ancient Greek myth. As punishment for his hubris, Aphrodite (Fink) begins to taunt and torment the artist Pygmalion (Boag-Jones), isolating him from his assistant (Wippell) and pushing his mind and spirit to the absolute limit.
This subversion of the original tale enjoys a fresh perspective on the singular pursuit of beauty, and the hollowness of beauty itself in the absence of love or passion.
